Inanna awoke to the sound of her flat’s doorbell ringing. It was an unusual sound in the flat, no one ever used it; the door was always either unlocked or they had the key. Ina rolled out of her bed and pulled a white dress shirt on over her bra and boxers. She made her way through the new mess of her flat. She would yet again have to clean up after the previous nights events, not that she minded. There were also a few lumps of people in the guest room who couldn’t make it back to their own places. Ina opened the door to find her older sister, Meg, standing there holding the morning’s newspaper. “Do you know what this says?” she asked sharply, thrusting the paper into Ina’s hands as she walked into the apartment.

“What do you think? I just got up,” Ina replied, slamming the door. At this point, Meg got a good look at Ina and her attire. It was so far off from what Ina would wear growing up, but it had been three years since they had talked, let alone seen each other. “You can go and get changed before we talk,” Meg told her. Their family was old fashioned and extremely modest. “No, I don’t need to do that and I have a feeling this won’t be a long talk, what do you want Megan,” Ina asked, folding her arms.

Meg opened the paper to the entertainment section, which featured a full colored picture of D.O.T.H. and an article below it. Ina grabbed the paper and started reading the article, which gave information on each member of the group. She looked up at her sister, whose arms were on her hips, making her look like a lawyer in her dress suit more than an award-winning oboist. “This is an embarrassment, to me, Felicity and our parents, especially Father,” Meg exclaimed sharply. Ina rolled her eyes at her sister; of course they sent Meg to yell at her for succeeding. “You know most families would be proud,” she murmured, knowing Meg could hear her. “Just get out and leave me alone. I’m going to the States in a few days, anyways.” Meg opened then closed her mouth, knowing Ina was going to be stubborn about this.

After Meg left, Ina went and got dressed. She put on a touch of makeup and grabbed something to eat. Her fridge had more mixers and alcohol than food, but after rummaging around in it she found some fruit. Ina grabbed her guitar and violin cases, as well as the news article. They had a few songs involving the violin, when she gave up the lead guitar to play one of her original instruments. She left a note on the counter; hoping one of her sleeping guests would read it, ‘Clean Up!’ She left her flat and made her way down to the street.

She hailed a cab and had it take her to the studio where they practiced. She entered the studio and called out, “Anyone here? I’ve got a surprise!” Ina called, waving the newspaper over her head.
