"You do not have to leave," Rodney said without looking up. He could tell she was uncomfortable around him and she didn't blame him. He crossed one long leg over the other as he turned in his seat to watch her. "You may keep working, I will not bother you if that is what you wish." His voice was dead serious though it was still dark and rich.
Leaning back in his seat, he propped his elbows up on the back of his chair wondering what it was about him that set this girl off. Sure, he wasn't quite human but he rarely got this reaction. He watched her move, she seemed scared and timid, almost like a fould who has lost its mother. She was practically crying out for help, or, at least that is what he saw.
Then, like he had said, Rodney turned back to face his drawing and continued. He would not bother her, here at least. Given she left, he was probably going to follow. He intrigued her and he wanted to know more about what was bothering her. He wasn't all that happy when he didn't know something.

Eleanor leaned away slightly when Francis moved closer to her. When he did she felt the warmth of him growing stronger and the smell got worse. She couldn't put it together though. She just focused on writing every word that the teacher was writing as well as what she could catch of him saying. A loud sound resonated suddenly when Francis's book fell and that caused the girl to yelp, rather.
"Sorry, sorry," she muttered to the class seeing as everyone was now looking at them. The teacher just shook his head, but Eleanor knew that if there were anymore interruptions like that he was going to kick her, if not both of them out. Her eyes then slid over to Francis as students slowly began getting back into the lecture.
"What's your problem?" She hissed quietly at him when she also noticed his odd posture. She glared at him slightly which made the yellow in her eyes seem to stick out more. Many people paid no attention to her eyes though, there were contacts out that looked just like her eyes so they figured that was what they were. She did get questions every now and again about them, but nothing bad ever came out of it, well, except with Terry, Rodney's roommate. But nothing good ever happened when he was around anyway.
