After grasping the handle portion of the ring with both hands, Meiling then placed her right foot against the base of the trunk. The soft sound of some shuffling and metal clacking against another metal soon echoed into her ears; however, she chose to ignore it for the time being. As of now, her first priority was to release this stupid metal ring from the tree. Using whatever strength she had in her, she finally yanked the metal out... Even if she stumbled back a bit. Finally! I win! I win! she mentally cheered as she held a silent celebration.
However that was short lived when she felt someone taping her shoulder. Her back still faced the person and it took her a moment to comprehend what was going on. The girl then turned around, her weapon snuggled her close to her chest as she faced the person behind her. And the moment she saw his face, she couldn't help but stare; a somewhat dazed expression appearing on her young face but she brushed it off the slight moment it appeared. Her expression was then replaced with a troubled look before she shook her head. For a slight moment, she could have sworn that he looked a bit different but like a flash of light, he returned to well... This. Not like it was bad or anything!
"Your guess is as good as mine," she answered, almost shyly but loud enough for him to hear, "Last thing I remember... I was inside, not out. And there wasn't a forest nearby either..."
Well, so much for asking if he knew.
But then she overheard someone stirring, causing her to lean to the side slightly to get a better look as to who finally decided to wake up. Oh, the really pretty girl who was wearing dark colors. However, she held this angry aura... Causing Meiling to somewhat sink a bit. The last thing she wanted was to end up in a fight she knew she couldn't end. Meiling slowly began to turn her attention away from both strangers... Making look as if she was a bit more interested of her tote bag than them. Well, who could blame her? She didn't really like talking.
