Tellyah sat quietly in the seat across from Ludwik and picked up the menu to hide her face. She felt embarrassed that her memories were getting the better of her. Had she not tried so hard to suppress them all these years? She shook her head, sighed and focused on the list of food. An omelet? A bagel? Pancakes or waffles? Maybe a small sandwich? The thought of eating till her stomach burst made her laugh. She recalled the mountain of food that El had offered the orphans when they had awoken. She had, of course, declined to eat anything. She put her menu down and said, "Toast is fine. I'm not that hungry." As she spoke, she felt a pain in her stomach protesting her. She was glad it hadn't made a sound.
Trinity crept through the dark ally not making a sound. At 9, her small body could easily move unnoticed. She was dressed in complete black; she had a hand gun in a holster tied to her hip. She smiled, and hide behind a group of trash cans. All she had to do now was wait.
Tellyah groaned and picked up the menu again. She had to take her mind off of her past. She scanned the list of food twice before she spoke. "So, Ludwik, how is it you found the Organization?" she shook her head and placed her menu down again. "Sorry," she smiled, "I guess I shouldn't ask you that. You probably don't trust me enough to tell me about yourself." she had to say it, no matter if it was a lie or not. "I trust you."
