I would probably use it, just to see what's up around Mene and maybe find some things to participate in/places to hang out. I don't think I'd use it to advertise, though.

It would be nice to see what 'new' things are going on rather than entering an old thread where the special goings-on have finished, but I rarely see something like that.
I guess it would be a nice touch, though until the site starts to get very busy and people feel as if they really need to get noticed above lots of other threads, then I don't see it being a very big priority.
