I figure I would post a few of my poems that I wrote a while back.


Hero
I can be anything you want me to be but it's not your fault when I fail to meet your expectations
Hold onto a hand reaching out in the dark, don't back down, don't give in
You wanted a hero tonight but all you got was a pathetic man begging for a girl's attention
Don't let go, don't back down, remember the times when we were invincible like shining stars
Out of reach, out of luck, we climbed a mountain hand in hand over obstacles that stood in the way

I knock you down, you pick me up I can't be that hero that you are searching for tonight
Much to weak too hold onto a hand that reaches beyond the horizons
You wanted a hero but found nothing more than a pathetic boy begging for your attention
I pick you up, you knock me down, I'm not searching for a hero tonight, you're not my savior
Do you believe in the lost art of love making, do you believe in finding a hero tonight?


Breathe
I love the way your heart breaks with every injustice he puts you through
And how you always come back to me on your knees
Love the fact that I could never be good enough
The fact that you never turned to me when times are good
Was he really worth it in the end?

Can't keep bringing you up after he tears you down again
Holding your hand on those long cold nights
While you're on your knees begging me please
Darling tell me when will you breathe again
Be strong enough to live again?

Here you are begging me please again, down on your knees begging please
With all these injustices hanging on your tongue
Trying to find somewhere to escape from him
His voice haunts every corner of your dreams again
Finding nowhere to breath again

Be the blind man so I could see

Maybe then we would be still
Be walking happily hand in hand

A Letter To My Ex
Today, I found a pen
That was sitting on the corner of my desk
And with that pen I swore I'd write
A letter to my ex.

It said that I would never follow you
Off that cliff where you fell to your death
And I watched as your body created splatters of blood on the rocks.
Below I sat and stared in awe at the sight.
The crimson shade of the rocks glistening in the sun.
It looked like a lot of fun but it just wasn't for me.
Not yet for me

I am waiting until the giant sky bunny takes me away to a better place
And the rocks look so unfriendly tonight
Especially with your blood on them.
So I bid you farewell and goodnight.
I hope your head doesn't hurt too much in the morning.
