if you still have three years of high school left, then you're still pretty young.
I'm going to be a senior this year, so it's my last year coming up..
and when I was in my freshman and the beginning of my sophomore years, I felt similar to you.
I felt like people made jokes, and I either didn't get it, or I took it too seriously,
so if you're like me, then I think you can be confident in the fact that it's probably just a phase.
once you find your group of friends in highschool, you'll have a group where you all accept each other,
and I know sometimes it feels lonely, when you feel like you don't have anyone you can talk to..
without screwing up, that is, don't worry about it.
only the people who are jerks, and don't deserve you for a friend will critique you rudely, and examine your mistakes.
just always remember to be yourself,
because the people who mind don't matter,
and the people who matter don't mind.
