“I think you misunderstand, just because something looks nice on the outside, does not mean it really is” He said. He was used to things like this, after all he did used to live in a closet under the stairwell, where saw dust would end up on his head, and his brother would torture him. Sure his aunt and uncles house was spotless, but he would have probably lived in a straw house with dirt everywhere, that would have indeed been better.
Harry watched him nervously, waiting for his answer, which every second that past convinced him more and more that it would be a big fat no. He needed someone to talk to though, and Snape wouldn’t listen to him, wouldn’t tell him what he needed to hear. Plus if he didn’t contact Ron and Hermione they would probably come looking for him because they thought he was dead or something. “Uh” He said a bit blankly when he finally answered. For a moment he thought he had heard him wrong, that was the only conclusion he could think of, unless he had actually said something nice, which it seemed like he had “Thank you” He finally said.
