She gently touched the gates. They weren't locked, she picked up her bag and bumped her hip into the gates, opening them. Another shiver ran down her back. She held her head high and walked inside the court yard. She couldn't help but to miss the thrill of living inside a village, having the chance to pull pranks.
She shook the thoughts from her mind. She was getting married now, she had to at least pretend to be a proper lady. For now... Lottie came up to the main doors. She took a deep breath and set one of her bags down. She knocked on the door, listening to the echo.
She glanced up, just how big was this place. The biggest house that he had even been in had three full bedrooms. She used to small. Not that she couldn't live in a huge mansion. Maybe large enough to escape this new 'husband' of her's and find something to do.
She tilted her head and frowned, hearing footsteps. She straightened her shoulders and kept her head held high. Her mother had always complained about her posture. She held in a laugh, wondering how her mother would react seeing her now.
