I didn't really care when I turned 18. To me I was just like "I can buy cigs, porn, and get into some clubs, great...I don't smoke, porn is gross and I never go out. This is quite pointless.". However when I turned 19, that meant that in Canada you could drink so my sister and I would always go over there until we were legal to drink in the states.
