Alyss woke up late in the morning, she had stayed out too late the night before. She wasn't worried about her father finding out, after all he had told the girls that he had a meeting in the morning. She quickly got up out of bed and dressed. Usually a maid would help her, but she had let her usual chambermaid off for the day. She sat at her dressing table and worked on her hair, pinning up the long blond waves. She preferred to wear her hair down, but it was more proper to have it up. She snuck down to the kitchens and grabbed an apple before heading to the library to read. "Morning Selena, how are you today?" she asked her younger sister.
