The night begins, beautiful, peaceful, a perfect night for a masquerade. This was the night indeed, planned out precisely by Mr. & Mrs. Hullington for their son. They waited years for this night, due to the fact the first son had died so unexpectedly.. This is Vincent's time now, finally he will become a man of the Hullington family.

Close friend Katherine Barrentine, was first to arrive. She was proud that Vincent would finally take forth of his family name, but she didn't approve of the scarification process.. Katherine was brought by horse drawn carriage, and waited onto the steps of the Hullington Castle. She put on her mask, and rung the bell. She waited patiently until something from behind made her quite uneasy.

A Blonde young fellow tapped onto Katherine's shoulder, he noticed it frightened her, but it made him giggle. "Katherine, it's been so long! I'm glad to see you here" He embraced her tight, until she pushed him away. He realized, that she wasn't aware of who he was. "Don't you recognize me?" He pulled off his white feathered mask "It's me, Hullen Sebastian! We were friends long ago, with Vincent, remember grade school?" Hullen tilted his head curiously.

"I don't, I'm sorry, but we have the night to get re-acquainted" She smiled softly, and watched as Hullen returned his mask onto his face. Both waited for the doors to open "I wonder whose all coming.. I really hope.. We don't have to stay to watch the scarification" Katherine tensed, and knocked onto the doors, and rung the bell again..
