"You know this is the stupidest idea you've had all year I don't know why mother allows you to get away with things like this one of these days you are going to get yourself killed." Jaden mutters under his breath knowing full well that his older brother wasn't listening to him.

Jason just gave the boy a wide grin as he pulled his brother through the crowd by his right hand. They were headed into the city right now having just come up to visit some relatives. Their grandmother, Ashia, their twelve cousins, Six aunts and uncles, whose names Jason couldn't remember for the life of him and their second cousins. Their mother was one of seven children one of the younger ones. It was a family reunion that brought them here from their home in New Orleans, Louisiana to the bustling city streets of NYC. They had been here nearly a week. Jason was very excited.

"Aww come on lil' bro we don' get ta go out sa much any mo'. You be in dem' books so off'en." He says in his thick accent. It always made Jaden cringe. He knew he had one as well but he train himself to speak with out it. Jason hadn't much cared. They both had rather deep voices for their age as well, a trait that ran in the family as well.

Their mother had given them free reign of the city for as long as they want as long as they didn't cause any trouble. That was fine. Jaden wouldn't let him get into too much trouble and there wasn't really much they could do with out their mothers permission. What the Matriarch said was law. The oldest member of their family was Ashia (husband unknown to them he had been dead before they were born), the oldest of her brothers and sisters but they didn't know her very well. So that was a mote point. It was nothing out of the ordinary.

Shaking his head, Jaden just let his brother drag him along. His eyes drifting over the crowd in a calculating gaze. They were getting odd looks. But then again they were a head taller then most people and they didn't look any older then they were, not to mention they were holding hands. At the speed Jason was going her could tell that people were actually moving out of their way. It didn't help that his brother looked like a foot ball player either (though back home he is actually an avid soccer player for their high school). Jaden however was a bit slimmer then his brother though no slouch in the sport himself, it was not his thing. While Jason doesn't bother to stay on tune with any song, Jaden had taken to choir quite well. He enjoyed singing and the deep baritone of his voice won him the respect of his teacher, Mrs. Vin.

"oh oh!" Jason half shouts trying to get Jaden's attention. "Look a cafe. I want coffee!"

"Like you need any of that..." Jaden raises his eye brow at his brothers pleading look. They eventually ended up at an outside table while Jason happily chatted up the waitress. It was not much different from home really. Their were definitely less plants and more people, he noted rather irritatedly.
