Once discovered that she had powers at a fairly young age, the Vερ Ανιμι were quick to step up and offer her a spot in their alliance. She accepted it but only went as far as to get the training to control it. Then Jan ran for office. With the support of the Vερ Ανιμι and the Jan's dilluted siren ancestory it was a more one sided election. The mayor has a sort of charisma about her when she speaks that very few can deny is there. With the ability to persuade--an ability she does not abuse, and uses under the alliance's discretion--Jan remains popular with the people while working with Vερ Ανιμι to cut down crime in the city.
