Do you think it exists?

The land of Ka'reth is a large, lush continent. At least, half of it is, as if someone had drawn a line down the direct center of the continent, lush greenery meets dry sand in perfect symmetry. Half of Ka'reth is nothing but a desert, the only things that live out there are desert dwelling animals as the desert is deemed to inhospitable for anything other than desert born animals to live there. There is only one oasis in the desert. A large one, and it is the heart of the lost city.

A city that no one really believes existed or exists. A city that allegedly stood in the very center of the desert, a city that was very large and very green within it's walls while surrounded outside by the desert. Essentially a large, inhabited oasis of sorts. This city has only ever been seen once, the only accounts of that city ever existing is all hearsay from a few elders. Thus the inhabitants of the lush, green half of Ka'reth rarely venture into the desert. The king of Ka'reth who only really rules the green half, has claimed that the city at the center of Mo'sheh'ka, for that is the desert's name, does not exist at all. The king and other inhabitants of the lush side of Ka'reth have taken to calling the green kingdom, Ne'shu'ka

There are many capital cities of Ka'reth, but the royal family rules over that entire half of the continent. Their kingdom is Ne'shu'ka. For the most part the royal family rules with evenhanded firmness, but there are still some faults in the royal family. Greed and vanity being the contributors to most of the problems or unfairness in the way the royals may decide to treat their subjects. In Ne'shu'ka there are still people who believe in the lost city. A city whose true name has been forgotten, but is sometimes called Mo'len'ka. There are some people who call themselves Adventurers and go out, seeking this lost city of fables. Few ever return from the desert and those that do are often mentally incapacitated from the prolonged exposure to the desert's climate.

Lately, in the royal capital of Ne'mi'ka new stories have begun circulating about the city Mo'len'ka. A wanderer who has only arrived in the royal capital seems to be at the center of these new tales. This man speaks of lush grass, greener than any ever seen on Ka'reth inside the walls of Mo'len'ka. He speaks of women more beautiful and fairer than the fairest maiden in all of Ka'reth. This wanderer tells tales of warrior maidens who protect the lost city from dragons and dragon-kin. He spins tales of the warrior men, who are the strongest and most bravest men alive. This strange wanderer tells tales of Mo'len'ka's royal family. A king who is the kindest and wisest in all the land. A generous queen who can heal wounds with a single thought. A valiant prince who tromps daily with the people of his city and teaches the young to hunt. A soft spoken princess who is so kind that even the fiercest of beasts become placid and gentle in her presence.

Last but not least, this wanderer will tell of the exiled prince. A brave man, the heir to the seat of Mo'len'ka who has now lost his birthright. This wanderer would tell how that prince had incurred the wrath of his father. An idea, a simple one. Ne'shu'ka should be made aware of the existence of Mo'len'ka. An idea that was quickly turned away. Ne'shu'ka was a violent country, it could not be trusted. The cities of Ne'shu'ka, the king believed, would crush Mo'len'ka and take what little treasures it did have for themselves. It was out of necessity and safety that the king would not open negotiations or alert the lush land of his cities presence. The exiled prince argued for days with his father until finally the king could take no more. His son would not listen, would not obey him. How could such an unruly child be a good ruler? With a heavy heart and is wife weeping beside him, his daughter weeping in his wife's arms and his younger son staring on impassively, the king exiled his elder son. The crown would not pass to the first prince. It would pass to the second son.

The wanderer would tell how the exiled prince accepted his punishment, saying before he left his father's sight, that he would return and the rest of Ka'reth would know of the lost city's existence. Now the wandering story teller would smile and wink to those listening. Telling of how the exiled prince had crossed the desert, slaying dragons and other ferocious beasts that only lived in a desert, then the wanderer would speak vaguely of where the exiled prince might be now. Hinting that he could possibly be in the royal capital, or even already in the royal palace, speaking to the king of Ne'shu'ka.

Are you going to find it?

----------

Creatures:
Only dragons, sand worms and anything that could be considered dragon kin live in the desert. They very rarely leave the desert and thus the people that live in Ne'shu'ka believe those desert dwelling creatures to be myth, just as the lost city. Except maybe dragons. Occasionally a dragon might fly over one of the cities located near the border of the desert. And yes. if you want to play a dragon you may play a dragon.

Races:
You can make up your own races. Desert dwelling or not. I only ask that there be no vampires please. Primarily the race Ka'reth is human, however, most the humans have mingled with other human-looking races, so even if you play a human, you still have at least some other race's blood in you. Everyone can use magic, to a point. Those with more human blood in their veins are not as good at magic as those without. I ask that you don't over do the magic using thing. For the most part, I'll let you be the judge of that, but if I see things getting out of hand I will politely inform you and ask that things be changed a little.

Characters:
*No Godmodding. Keep it pg13. Romance and pairings of all types and kinds are welcome.*

*Your character(s) eye color cannot be gold. As that is only exclusively available to those from Mo'len'ka. Everyone from Mo'len'ka has gold colored eyes. Other than gold your character's eyes can look however you want them to.*

Profiles are not required, however I will post a profile for my character. Your character(s) may be from the lost city but you must PM me about that for approval because only a select number can be. When the story actually moves closer to finding the lost city I will let more players or new players make characters from the lost city.

As things stand right now. No one can play as the royal family of Mo'len'ka. All positions of the royal family of Ne'shu'ka are open. These positions are:
King:
Queen:
Princess
: (The princess is older than the crown prince, however, only a male can rule and so the prince is heir to the throne. Unless of course your character can get the king to change his mind about such a silly rule.)
Prince:

Settings:
The setting will start in the royal capital Ne'mi'ka. The royal capital is a very large city, with a very large bustling outdoor marketplace. The royal palace stands in the middle of the city, essentially surrounding itself with the market place. Slavery is legal in the royal capital and most cities of Ne'shu'ka. Slavery is frowned upon in Mo'len'ka (but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.) There is a large slave market within the outdoor marketplace of Ne'mi'ka.

*Feel free to make up other names for the other cities if you wish to travel to them. Just pm them to me and I'll make a list somewhere over here of all the city names.

If there are any questions feel free to PM me..if you are confused about anything or feel I should add something or that I've left out something just let me know and I'll try to fix it.

My profile. (profiles aren't necessary though. I just like to make them. n.n)

Name: Klia Amasa Rynx
Title: Exiled Prince
Age: 23
Race: Unidentifiable. The human blood of his first ancestors has since been mingled with so many other humanoid creatures that Klia's family cannot trace their actual race. Their blood is too muddled.
Place of birth: Mo'len'ka
Magic: Klia is a rare case. He can use magic, but any spell he tries to perform always goes wrong. Sometimes the results are dangerous. Any magic used on him often makes him sick to his stomach for a while, no matter what kind of magic it is.
Other: Klia was exiled, and his title of crown prince and heir apparent was stripped from him. Determined though, that he was right, he has ventured across the desert and to the royal capital of Ne'mi'ka. In the disguise of a wandering story teller, he spreads tales of his city. Hoping to spur the spark of adventure in people, and hoping to expose his land with the hope that his city and the rest of Ne'shu'ka can become allies.
Appearance:

Starting Post:
Klia had just finished telling a wonderful story of how the Valiant Prince of Mo'len'ka saved a lovely village maiden from a very nasty desert dragon. Now that the crowd around him was beginning to disperse, he stood from the edge of the well he had been sitting on and stretched. His desert robes were pulled closed tight against him. Hiding his fine clothing and the sword at his waist, the hood of his desert robes were up, and it effectively hid his face in it's shadow. Hiding his golden eyes. Eyes that color were only seen in Mo'len'ka anyway. Klia was careful to only draw attention to himself as a harmless, wandering storyteller. He could tell that most dismissed his tales and nothing but legend. However, sometimes, in the younger listeners he could see a spark. Even if they thought his stories untrue, he could tell some of them wanted to venture out to the desert and have a look for themselves. Well, at least he had earned some coins for his story telling. He could buy some fruit with those coins.

The fruit here..it was delicious. Though he longed for the desert fruits of his own home. The lush food here was different than what he was used to, but he found that most of it tasted rather good. However, it did seem to make him think of home and long for it, as he often found himself comparing the tastes of these foods with the foods of his home. Klia stretched again.
