Ok, lets start from the beginning.

About a year and a half ago my husband was rushed to the ER for sharp pain in his back and barely being able to move. He was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. A couple of months later he was finally able to start physical therapy {the wait was so long because military insurance loves to drag their feet} After 6 weeks of physical therapy he was still in a huge amount of pain so they decided to add on 4 more weeks of physical therapy to see if a different therapy regime would be of any help, month or so later he was finally able to start the next round of physical therapy. Needless to say, the physical therapy didn't help at all. Back to the doctor we went, they decided this time they were going to try and do the spinal injections. Once again we played the waiting game with our insurance provider. Finally we were able to get him in for his shots, unfortunately those weren't of any help either. It was finally decided shortly after that that they were just going to do surgery on his spine - after 4 months of waiting he finally has a surgery date. This Sunday we head over to San Antonio to check him in and get him ready to meet his anesthesiologist on Monday at 7am to do his pre-op stuff for his surgery on Tuesday.

Needless to say I'm scared and worried for him I'm about at my wits end with stressing over it and getting my house sanitized for when he gets home. I'd do it while he was in the hospital but where he is having surgery is 4 hours away from here.

I'm doing the best I can to hold myself together but I'm slowly falling apart....

{I know the timeline doesn't really add up all that well, we were waiting for a long time and I lost track of how long in between the waits were}
