Leaving his hometown behind wasn't very difficult. There wasn't much left for him there anyway. He'd never felt much of a connection with his parents and his one link to that place had long since left. After clearing all the paperwork needed to leave the city, Hiro took one last walk around the city, lingering on the outskirts and bidding the aquatic creatures that swam by a silent farewell. He didn't know how long it would be until he came back.

The transition from the underwater city of Wayfter to the land above wasn't really that difficult, it was a trip Hiro had taken oftentimes enough. It was finding the city of Ka 'lent that would be difficult. As he walked, a gentle breeze blew by, caressing his face. That caused a small smile to appear on his lips and he turned his eyes to the sky. "I'm going to help make a change Lea..." he whispered sadly, "...wish me luck." With that, he squared his shoulders and continued down the stone path that led in the general direction of the city.
It was strange, thinking about it now. Compared to the him of the past, this him was entirely different. The old him would never have even thought about leaving the city to help change the world. Before Lea he wouldn't have done any of the things he was about to do. Lea had changed everything. She'd been the first one to bring him out of the city and onto the surface. She'd been the first one to show him that maybe there was hope in the world. And of course, she was the first to dash it all away. Her death had all but caused him to shun the world. He came to terms with it eventually...along with some other things. He lifted a hand to touch one of the sparkling jewels on his face, yes...he'd had a lot to come to terms with over the years.

Right. How had he ended up up here? Hiro looked around as he paused briefly in his wanderings throughout the city. Ups and downs...this city was definitely a far cry from his hometown. Looking towards the sky once more, Hiro noted that nightfall was fast approaching. How long had he been walking...?
When he'd first entered the city, he'd warranted some definitely unwanted attention. Maybe it wasn't normal for a Gagdofian to leave their city very often, but it couldn't have been that strange to see one here, after all, plenty of people visited, from all over the world didn't they?
Hiro was once again distracted from his thoughts by a passing wind, nudging him in the direction he had previously been walking in. He tilted his head slightly as another wind came to push him in that direction as well. He allowed a small smile to slip onto his lips. "Alright Lea...alright, I'm going, I'm going." He quickly followed the direction the wind had been blowing and soon, with little nudges here and there from the wind, he found himself across the street from his destination.
There was already a small trio gathered just off to the side of the steps. Two girls and one boy. The boy seemed to have latched onto the two girls for some reason and Hiro watched curiously, his expression melting into one of impassive curiosity. The wind that had previously been guiding him, ruffled his hair slightly in a gesture as if to say 'see you later' and Hiro let his eyes flicker up to the sky which he gave the smallest of nods to before returning his attention across the street. He was right next to a bookstore of sorts he realized and quickly entered. He didn't know whether or not to trust the three he had seen, for now, it would be best to 'lie low', was it?
He perused the different books on the shelves rather quickly before picking one out and paying for it. He exited the quaint store and took a seat on the bench in front of it and flipped the book open. He held it up in front of his face and scanned the words, flipping the page occasionally to give off the impression that he was reading. He would glance over the top of his book randomly, just to watch the three gathered in the shade of the steps.
It was with slight amusement that he watched one of the females fluster and the other snap at the actions of the sole male. Hm... it seemed that the female that snapped was the lightning elementalist, if the glint from her earrings was anything to go by. He knew the male had to be dark and the other girl light, the wind had whispered something akin to that to him as he'd been wandering. They wouldn't know who he was, would they? At least not off the bat if what he'd found out held true. The eighth hero, the wind elementalist was often forgotten...so maybe they'd never even heard of it?
