Kari noted the fact that he didn't say his name again but didn't comment. It was his choice and she could tell before that he wasn't happy with the name he now had. She could understand that, having who you were taken away from you like that. It was hard on all of them and, when she was alone, she didn't think of herself as Kari, she thought of herself before then when she still had her own name.
She withdrew her right hand, her left still clutching the manga tightly.
"I have some work to do," she told the group at large. "So I'll leave you all alone."
She was looking forward to getting back to her own room. She still had to write that reply letter to her penfriend in America. He didn't know where she was of course, she wasn't about to tell him that, but he was insanely smart and if he'd been an orphan she was sure that he would have ended up here with her. He was older than her of course and he'd gotten a job as a profiler and she couldn't be happier for him. She was looking forward to telling him that in her letter as soon as she got upstairs.
She made her way away from the group and soon entered the house.
"Just don't forget that it's not long until dinner," she called over her shoulder as an afterthought before dissappearing from their sight.
