Species

These species are in the reach of the council most of which have individual members that speak for their entire species on the council. There are plenty of other beings in space and anyone interested can make up their own species. A skeleton to do so is provided below.

Species name:
Average age lived: (without major medical intervention but with current medical technologies)
Species description: (what most members of the species tend to look like. Words must be used but a picture can be provided to complement them.)
Species History: (optional)
Strengths: (A list is fine)
Weaknesses: (A list is fine)
Home world name: (If you want me to make up one that is fine just let me know)
Home world description: (Words must be used but a picture can be provided also)

Species represented on the council
Species name: Human
Average age lived: 150-220 years
Species description: Creatures that stand on two legs reaching various heights but often averaging 4'10" to 6'5" depending upon gender and age. Weight fluctuates much like height as does muscle mass. Humans are not the strongest or the smartest and are often called risk takers much like the Baarak their closest galactic relative the council. Skin colors vary from pale white to black and everything in-between, it is often practice for those of lighter skin tone to go about a tanning process by reasons unknown to the other species. Faces are the best way to place names to specific humans because of how much variation there is within the species.
Species History: The newcomers to the council this species has very limited say in what the council does and what decisions they make.
Strengths: Average in just about everything and most genetic variation.
Weaknesses: Average in just about everything. Certain members can exceed in certain areas but these are the jack of all trades in space so far.
Home world name: Earth
Home world description: Their previous home has become a wasteland after misuse of a young species. Once a beautiful planet filled with plenty of resources to sustain life the oceans have become polluted and virtually all life died out on the planet. But not all was lost. The humans made it out of their dying homeland and took the genomic code of every animal with them to reproduce once they found a suitable new home. Now the humans can be found multiple places through the council's influence and beyond. They have no true homeland and many of them live on giant space crafts.

Species name: Eleiuf or lights as some call them
Average age lived: Never die from old age or sickness
Species description: Floating balls of light with an approximate diameter of two feet. They glow brightly , become dim, shrink, and expand during what seems like random times but actually this is the method they use to speak to each other and contain complex mysteries of their society. Colors of light can range drastically from lights to darks. The Eleiuf are strong in the use of mental powers and because of them are the only reason why they are sentient beings of light rather than light rays that simply fly in every direction. It should be noted that they can travel from speeds of less than a mile per hour up to roughly two hundred miles per hour. They have no need of the technologies that multiply the abilities of powers and in fact these technologies do nothing to help them. Almost all Eleiuf can be seen with thing metal halos floating above them which act as translating devices to convey their speech to the galactic standard dialect.

While Eleiuf are considered immortal their energy can be disrupted or permanently dissembled by direct contact with concentrated sources of energy such as any energy weapons, which are pretty much all of them, floating in flames for to long, or flying into a star. They need not breath, eat, or sleep and their method of sight is a mystery though it is apparent that they see a full three hundred and sixty degrees around them. Seeing as they create their own light there is no such thing as seeing in the dark for them because it is never truly dark when one is around. There are not very many Eleiuf their numbers probably lay in the range of fifty to sixty thousand. This is so because of their long life span and the time it takes to reproduce which is an asexual process. They must spend one hundred years actively focusing on becoming two different beings with any interruptions forcing the process to start over again.

Despite what one may think each Eleiuf holds different personalities. Most seem disconnected but some have adapted very well to more 'human' like conversation and though processes though they are not prone to think with emotion and prefer logic. The maturing rate is instantaneousness upon the start of their existence and each remembers very basic truths passed on from generation to generation such as how to control their powers.
Species History: It is said they were birthed from stars which were the exact words from them when first equipped with the translators that they in part helped build though none alive remember how exactly that was accomplished. The Eleiuf (the word star in galactic old speech) taught the other species how to unlock their potential power and helped them understand the knowledge necessary to build augmentation machines that eventually became as simple as a small circlet worn around the head.
Strengths: Do not die from natural means or vacuums and could essentially float around in space. Small targets for attacks and incapable of being hit by non energy attacks. Can take more abuse from energy weapons than other races. Can squeeze through small places.
Weaknesses: Need a translate to communicate. Appear distant to other races. Can not wear armor or wield weapons effectively. Can not operate precise machinery very well.
Home world name: Elune
Home world description: Like something straight out of a dream the world of Elune bewilders and strikes awe into most. With each visit something new is to be discovered be it sounds, sights, or even smells. Almost everything glows with different intensities in varies colors, much like the Eleiuf themselves. Most of the small planet, more like the size of a big moon, is land covered with two separate freshwater oceans. Despite everlasting appearance of a rave during the busiest time of the night the plants and animals are edible for the most part. The planet is not without its dangers though, seemingly stuck in a time ruled by reptiles it is considered anything but safe.

Species name: Baarak
Average age lived: 100-150 years
Species description: On occasion members of this species may be confused for their very close galactic relative the human. For anyone who knows what to look for the differences are obvious. Much like humans the variations in facial structure are great. They also have opposable thumbs, abody structure that is very similar, and range in skin color. This is where the similarities end. Their ears are slightly longer and end at a point and the eyes are feline in nature with a black slit instead of a pupil. The weakest of the Baarak is as strong as a human body builder though their appearance is deceiving. The strength of a Baarak should be increased three fold than is to be expected by judgement of muscle mass and most Baarak are 'ripped' in human standards. They also stand a foot taller on average than their human counterpart.
Species History: Their bodies have evolved physically to withstand the punishing environment. While most Baarak are not considered stupid they have trouble with memorization skills and few of them are found in fields such as science and mathematics. Multiple alien space crafts crashed into their planet during a war long forgotten. These crafts held technologies still intact that the Baarak worked many generations to understand. Finally against all odds they had mastered the technology given to them and made their way out into space. Despite being very confrontational and having a reputation of quick to anger the Baarak made friends in space much like the humans did. They were also the first race to connect to humans because of immediately recognizing the similarities.
Strengths: Physical strength, unmatched reflexes
Weaknesses: Memorization problems, preconceptions about intelligence levels, have an extremely hard time controlling their powers if given them at all (most are not).
Home world name: Teema
Home world description: Much how Earth was before it became a wasteland. The Baarak took care of their planet which had a Jurassic age almost twice as long as Earth. Many consider that fact to be the main reason why the Baarak turned out to be the way that they are. Strict rules have been put in place by the Baarak to preserve their homeland which while like earth in appearance holds many more dangerous predators. Many humans have moved to Teema for a sense of 'home' for a look back to how Earth was. The Baarak even allowed many Earth creatures to be created and placed on their home a process which was considered and deliberated over for many years by the council but ultimately accepted.

Species name: Titan
Average age lived: 200 - 650 years
Species description: Pale grayish skin with pushed back and enlarged cranium with steel black eyes. They grow to be anywhere from five to seven feet tall consisting of frail bodies. Though Titan is a name that suggests strength and is often thought of as physical power this assumption can not be anymore wrong. This species relies on mental capabilities to solve almost all of their problems.

Picture coming soon...

Species History: Originally their planet was ruled by a council which once their expanses took them out into space they brought their laws with them. Other alien races were eventually found and assimilated into this council to help with the decision making. Originally, despite their intellect, the Titans could not master their hidden mental powers. Though once the knowledge was granted to them it quickly became apparent that such things came to them naturally.
Strengths: Increased Intellect and strength of powers
Weaknesses: Very physically weak
Home world name: Mombasa
Home world description: A world covered in lush forests and plants. Many have described it as a paradise full of technological advances not yet seen by those who live outside of the planet. Everything is automated and the world is in a perfect balance between resource harvesting and replacement. Considered one of the least dangers places in council space Mombasa has been throughly combed by the Titans.

Species name: Sillium
Average age lived: 120-250
Species description: This species has the ability to slowly change their shape to better suit their preferences. At birth they are a neutral pasty color and are born with their eyes open. They soon become the color that catches their 'eyes' at birth and many end up gravitating back to that color for no real explainable reason. They see as if they have eyes facing one direction even when no eyes can be physically seen on their body. Most of them tend to take on an appearance to one of the other council races but throw in their own persona touches. While others still choose favorite animals. It takes about forty eight hours to reach the final shape and their only limitation is that they are unable to become like inanimate objects and need to have seen a living example of the being to mimic it. Slight changes can also be made without taking the full time to transform. These changes take anywhere from thirty minutes to a couple hours. These being lack bones and bruise easily. Also they are lacking slightly in the physical strength due to their adaptive nature. The shape shifting ability has some strange limitations on it that are not quite understood by anyone. Sillium must be at least ten pounds in weight usually and not be to small in size.
Species History: Their species did not originally change like this in fact they were quite stationary. But through genetic experimentation from the main race of the world they gained some of the attributes that they now have today. Nine hundred years ago a nuclear war, or the equivalent of, wiped out most of the planet's life. Despite the devastation the Sillium and many other species lived on. Since then the radiation has died down and the planet has gravitated back to pre-war like state. With the technology left behind, and now the dominate species, the Sillium advanced quickly. Once their planet started becoming over populated they ventured out into space and became members of the council.
Strengths: Ability to transform their appearance, increased flexibility, varying genetics
Weaknesses: Low strength
Home world name: Smamile
Home world description: This world has lots of water on it but not quite as much as earth had. The oceans are much saltier and there is hardly no fresh water supplies throughout the planet leading to Sillium actually having the ability to drink salty water. The environments vary though half of the land is red sand dessert. Two suns and two moons constantly circle the planet with thirty hours of daylight before having twenty hours of night in any one place.

Species not on the Council
Species name: Extraxi
Average age lived: 650 to 800 years
Species description: The Extraxi vary in appearance, but most are around 8 feet tall and 370 pounds. They look most like reptiles, being covered in scales that differ radically in appearance from each other. They usually have horns, or spikes, protruding from their head and down their back. They have large claws on their fingers as fingernails, and have opposable thumbs. They have four toes, three in front and one in back with more claw-like protrusions. Overall, they are quite an intimidating species.
Species History: The Extraxi are carnivorous creatures that will eat any meat except their own kind. They are known to invade other planets and drive entire species to extinction with their bloodlust. As such they have been denied a seat on the Galactic Council, and strike fear into the hearts of most other races. They have no mental powers, but they have an amazing mental fortitude. Telepaths have a horrible time trying to take control of them. Currently, they are searching for a new planet to destroy, and the planets of the Galactic Council are preparing to ward them off by setting up defensive arrays.
Strengths: Scaled skin offers great protection from impact and energy, can breathe fire, mental fortitude, and are incredibly strong.
Weaknesses: Aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, large size makes it hard to maneuver, and their lack of mental abilities.
Home world name: Yikonmak
Home world description: Very lush tropical jungles cover the entire planet, much like they did on Earth during the early prehistoric times. Three suns appear in the crimson sky daily with one always lingering after the others had set. Their daylight lasts about eighteen hours on average because of this. The animals are pretty much predators and are virtually limited to reptiles, fish, and amphibians, though a few birds and mammals exist.

Species name: Android
Average age lived: Do not die naturally
Species description: The appearance varies from Android to Android there is no set appearance. Often Androids are made to look like another species in order to allow for more physical recognition. Most Androids are actual legal but none of them qualify as sentient because of the limited abilities that were programmed into them. However there are occasions of Android's discovered with no visible physical differences than the species they are mimicking down to the existence of fake veins with blood and receptors that allow them to feel 'pain'. Some Androids are not even aware that they are Androids and continue on their lives like they were of the species they mimic. Any Android found with sentient qualities is to be reported to the galactic police and taken in for examination... never to be seen again.
Species History: No one knows who made the first Android and none know who continues to make the next generations. Androids have different assimilation grounds and can even hail from reaches outside of the galactic council's influence. The Androids that live the longest in council space are those that blend in to society and they usually have little knowledge or false memories about their past and actually think they are part of the species they pretend to be.
Strengths: Very durable, hard to overload senses
Weaknesses: Have no access to mental powers, set off metal detectors all the time, will be 'dealt with' or killed if found in galactic council space.
Home world name: None
Home world description: None
