Er'end cursed in his snake-tongue when he realized the thing approaching hadn't received the hint the snake skin should have given. He batted some dried skin to the side with the tip of his tail, slithering forward slightly in hope of being able to figure out what exactly was approaching before if noticed him. He took advantage of a large gust of wind that blew into his home and immediately recognized the smell of heat and flesh.

Possibly a human, he thought to himself before recoiling out of habit. He could no longer hear it approaching as well as before, so he was unable to judge exactly how far away the fellow predator was. The Naga darted over to his bed of dried leaves and mussed it up. The more he could make his habitat look more 'natural' like an abnormally large snake lived there and not a Naga the better.
