Thyra smirked to herself as she left the audience chamber of her parents. This was just the latest in a series of lectures instructing her to act more like a proper lady of the court. It was unlikely that such a thing would ever happen of course. Thyra know that she was far too strong willed to ever abide by the rules of court life. There was too much intrigue and political game-play for her. Her father constantly told her that she was good at it, (how else did she manage to get herself out of difficult situations without getting into serious trouble?) but that didn't mean she enjoyed playing those games.

This latest repremand was for, of all things, beating the head guard at a sparring match which he had suggested in the first place! It wasn't her fault that he was sloppy and underestimated her. He landed on his back with her blade to his throat and he had the nerve to complain to her parents that she was not behaving properly. The next time she saw Tobias Foyet she would put the insect in his place. For now she had more important things to do though. Her parents and the reputation of the heard guard could wait. She walked out to the garden in the centre of their palace and quickly gave a short, sharp whistle that pierced the air. Immediately she heard the sound or rustling branches and her trusted companion, Lelouch, walked regally towards her from where he'd been resting under a nearby bush. He was a lot larger than he had been when he was a cub and his onyx fur and violet eyes were extremely striking, especially combined with the pitch black feathery wings.

"You ready to get out of here for a while Lelouch?" Thyra asked the winged wolf. Lelouch made a growling noise in the back of his throat which Thyra knew meant "of course," and she smiled to herself. She carefully shifted her small weaon's pouch so that it wouldn't dig into her leg or Lelouch's side. She quickly climbed on so that she was sitting comfortably on his back with her legs just in front of the place where wing and shoulder met. Lelouch gave a warning bark like sound before spreading his wings and leaping into the air, racing towards the clouds before anyone, be it guard, servant or even parent, could do anything to stop them. Thyra whooped in delight as they rose higher and higher before Lelouch swirved in mid air and she was forced to throw herself forwards to keep from being thrown off.

"Watch it!" she ordered the wolf playfully. He gave a short, sharp bark in response before winding his way through the sky to a favourite place of Thyra's. She couldn't wait to get there. It had been far too long since she could escape the palace. She missed the freedom taht the skies gave her and she loved the rush of defying her parents, more specifically her father.
