¬ Personality: Alika is a very caring person. She is very different from others of her race. Her brothers and sisters are very mischievous. Often tormenting members of their nearby town. Alika though is a bit of a wander. She enjoys humans, seeing how they learn, and simply finds them fascinating. Although her body craves the blood of humans, she simply resists it the best she can. Alika is also a very good talker. She can easily impress most with only a few simple words. As well as a bit nosy when it comes to reading. With her refusal to eat properly, her body rebels against her, making her get very high fevers.
¬ History: In short, Alika is an Aswang. She grew up in the Philippines. Although acts completely different than what normal Aswangs are known for. Her brothers and sisters are troublemakers who steal children, dig up graves, and even think to mess with the unborn children. Pretty much gave her entire race a very bad name. The select group is what makes them known. Alika attended Ipswich in order to gain an education, and hopefully better herself for the world. In school, she took her studies very seriously, rarely even going out on the weekends. But having never attended a school before Ipswich it was a bit harder to learn basic things. Such as reading and writing.

After the school shut down, Alika attempted to attend a collage, but had to go into hiding once non-humans were being hunted. Alika though behaves more human than supernatural. Aswang is basically a witch. Although they have a diet that closely resembles a vampire. She is supposed to eat at least three times a day. Although since going to Ipswich, she has been fighting with her instincts. Finding it hard to drink the blood of humans. She has been living off of the blood of animals. But it does not have the nutrients her body requires. In fact, most of the time her body simply rejects the blood, forcing her to vomit.

In order to hide, Alika has mutilated her own body. Cutting off her own wings completely. Aswangs are shapshifters, but Alika is not able to use much of her own power due to her diet choice.

¬ History: Skye was brought up by her Aunt as her parents left her when she was young. Her Aunt would make up bedtime stories about her parents, deluding her into thinking that they were working with others to change the world, make it a better place. As she has been going to human schools all of her life, she is used to hiding her unique abilities. Skye heard about Ipswich Academy through her school because of her outstanding grades. She was at first skeptical of entering a boarding school, but eventually, her Aunt persuaded her that it would be good for her to have a change.

When Ipswich closed, Skye was devastated. Not only did it entail an incomplete education, but also separated her from her love, Varick. The sudden closure of the school meant that she didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. Unsure on whether or not he even remembers her, she still holds onto the hope that someday they shall meet again and be reunited. ¬ History: Has been known all his life as “Snake Demon” which isn’t too far fetched, actually, being that his eyes and skinny body can look of those like one. His parents, in dept from a certain deal left him as a two-year-old-child. Abandoned, he was taken in by another family of Warlocks and was raised deep in the countryside somewhere off the coast of Europe. There, he learned demon summoning (mostly with forms of a snake) by his adopted family. Eventually the house was burned to the ground from humans who felt threatened by them, and Mo was the only one left. Unknowing that he was a Warlock, a rich family took him in and completely pampered him for years until his secret came out when he summoned a particular female snake familiar for the first time. After that, he ran away. Becoming an amazing street-preformer and infamous thief in the city, Mo lived a pretty good teenage life. Eventually, though, he bored of it and traveled on to new places. He attended this school originally to run away from his own dept to pay.

He had fun learning at the school, and upon it's closing he immediately shut off all relations and hid himself. Practicing magic in secret for all these years, he was surprised to find a war was going on. Determined to help his fellow students and friends, which he hadn't spoken to in years, he came out of his solitude with his ever-stubborn familiar, Medusa.

¬ Personality: Lainey is very moody to say the least. She has an easy to flare temper, and it's wicked. She's prone to becoming violent when angered, and she tends to over react to certain situations. She unlike most of her kind, as she is particularly outgoing and friendly rather than reserved and quiet. She does get easily influenced by any visions of the future that she has, as the emotions that course through her veins during the visions are usually overpowering, sending her into a panic attack occasionally. Otherwise, she is cheerful and bubbly most of the time, and can brighten almost anyone's day. Rarely does she get scared, or so she puts on that act. In truth, she's actually easily scared, but she'll put on an act to help those around her be as brave as they need to be.

Although this isn't to say Lainey is completely sane. No, she's far from it. Well, she's not insane per se, but she is eccentric, and crazy. She'll pull random stunts, and make the oddest gestures. She says some odd things too. She tends to be a little eccentric at times, going as far out of her way as to make a situation that would normally be serious, be a fun one. She hates to be drop dead serious all the time, and tends to make a lot of jokes to lighten moods. She also has a hero complex. If someone's in trouble, or if someone needs help, even emotionally, Lainey feels the need to help them.
¬ History: Lainey never really knew her biological parents. They gave her up for adoption almost right after she was born. Why? Because when Lainey was just a new born, she somehow managed to levitate an object that she wanted that was too high up. Of course, when her parents saw this, they realized that the girl had inherited her late grandmother's powers and abilities. They were horrified. There was no way they would raise a kid that had unusual abilities. So, up for adoption Lainey went, and adopted she was. This young couple who couldn't have children of their own fell in love with Lainey at first glance. There was something about her that called out to them, but they didn't know what it was. Until Lainey's fifth birthday that is. On her fifth birthday, Lainey was just playing around with some dolls, and a tea cup set, when all of a sudden, she let out a blood curdling scream. Both her parents ran to see what was wrong, and found her huddled in a corner, crying.

When asked what was wrong, she responded with a very simple answer. Horrible images had flooded her vision. Images of death, blood and gore. They told her to forget about it, and try to relax. But not three days later, Lainey came home from a play date to find scene that was horrendous. Gorey beyond anyone's imagination. But the thing was, no one else could see it. She was the only one. She was taken to a doctor, but they didn't find anything wrong. Though, deep down, Lainey's adoptive parents were beginning to worry. Was she developing some unnatural ability? They didn't know, and wouldn't for a while to come. The incidents stopped for about 4 years, until on her ninth birthday both parents came into her room to find her sitting in the middle of the floor, crying with toys flying all around her. This was when Lainey's parents knew that she was no normal child. They took her to the local oracle, whom Lainey's mother had known since she was a kid. Lainey's parents told the oracle what had happened, and in returned asked her what to do. The oracle told them to tell her of her abilities, and her race as a psychic, but to also tell her of what they were.

When Lainey calmed down enough to be told, she found everything out. About how she was adopted, how she was a psychic, and how her parents were both Dryad's – Tree Nymphs. She went into a state of denial at first, throwing fits and refusing to talk to her parents, but after a while she realized what they spoke was the truth. She could hear everyone's thoughts around her, and it was overwhelming. She would continuously get overwhelmed by her abilities and visions, causing her to become ill quite often. She would run freakishly high temperatures, and spend weeks at a time away from school. She finally came to terms with her abilities by her eleventh birthday. Her parents were trying everything they could think of to help Lainey control her powers. That's when they found out about Ipswich. She began to attend there, after her fourteenth birthday, but three years later the school shut down. Lainey is upset that the school shut down. She would much rather it have stayed open. But when the school shut down, Lainey went on to learning to control and utilize her abilities on her own.

But normally, they are both sweet, and loving.
¬ History: Kyle and Lexi grew up with a fairly simple childhood. They were homeschooled for a while, never really being introduced into the real world. Their parents heard about Ipswich, sending the twins there.

The twins, devestated after the closing of the school, went back home. Expecting to run into the arms of their loving parents, they heard the news of their parents being dead. They were origanally suppose to move in with a close family friend, the twins went on a rampage of a anger and sadness. Wounding many. The twins then lived anywhere they could for a while. The twins had even considered joining DEATH, but decided upon being a very few pair of vampires that didn't turn against the school that they had once loved so much, and against their friends, and even family. Although they had a hard time adjusting, the twins learned to not murder for blood, and to settle on a more human like diet. Although, every once in a while they do get a little out of control for thirst....

He's quite old fashioned, having been raised by vampires all his life who had been around longer than you can bat an eyelash. So he's quite chivalrous in his actions.
¬ History: Jayden never attended Ipswich, mainly for the fact that he was raised by members of his kind. But he did have friends that attended the school. He originally was a human, way back when. It was sometime around the 1930's he's guessing, he can't quite remember when it was that he was changed. He had originally been born to Mr. and Mrs. James T. Moonen, but they had to give him up for adoption. Finally, he got adopted by a young couple, and raised by them. He was told when he was around the age of nine that they were vampires, and that if he so desired, they would give him up for adoption. But he chose to stay with them. His life was eventful from then on. He came to like the taste of blood on his own, but never did he spill it.

On his twenty first birthday, Jayden was involved in a terrible accident. Jayden was just barely clinging to life in the hospital when his adoptive parents found him. They had discussed prior to change him or not should something happen to him, and they decided to change him. They loved him far too much to watch him die, so his mother sank her fangs into his neck, injected the venom, and stole him away from the hospital so he could be changed. Jayden doesn't remember much about his first few years as a vampire, or the process of being changed, but maybe it's a good thing. He is forever stuck Twenty – One.

¬ Personality: Ly is quite and soft spoken, rarely speaking aloud. He prefers to speak to others through his mind, a habit he has had to work on since the war started. He is not a fan of humans, often speaking to them haughtily and rudely. Around others like him, he opens up more and can be outgoing or even a bit of a showoff. In terms of Lynn, he is overprotective as any brother would be, but to an extreme at times.

Lynn is the voice of the duo; even so, she is not remarkably talkative. She is very intelligent and often speaks in this way. She wants to protect humans, but she is also afraid of what they could do to her. She tends to be guarded around others when she first meets them due to a fear of being hurt. She sometimes has wild mood swings due to her empathetic powers and can be influenced by wild swings in emotions by others.
¬ History: Coming from a family of psychics, Ly and Lynn did not realize that they were different from humans until they were six and entered elementary school. There after an incident involving their powers, they were ridiculed and teased by their classmates. Due to this, the once normal Ly began to retreat inside of himself and nearly stopped speaking altogether. It was at this point they were transferred to Ipswich. Being there was better for them, but Ly still refused to speak to others, only speaking through his mind.

When they were sixteen, ten years after starting at Ipswich, the war broke out. As psychics they were able to easily go into hiding and pretend to be human. At this point they had to make a decision about what side they would choose DEATH or Ipswich. Had Lynn not been sympathetic to the humans, Ly would have joined DEATH, but at her urging he agreed to help the humans.

From the school incident, Ly lost a certain amount of control over his powers and every so often he still loses control. He has a great mental ability and is stronger at telepathy and telekinesis than Lynn. Lynn is more skilled at empathy and fortune telling. She is one of the few people to be able to approach Ly when he has an episode and loses control of his powers.

¬ Personality: Etherian is quiet, reserved and drawn back from everyone except his sister. He tends to keep to himself and ignore almost everything around him, keeping to his own little universe, since he feels that its better than the real world. He is very talented and his gifts are very powerful, so he tries to keep them under control but its sometimes a hassle. But he manages for Ethereal, keeping their lives steady and happy.
Etherian is very polite, he's a gentleman through and through. He's the type to give up his seat to a pregnant or an elderly lady if they need it, open doors and hold them. But he can also be rude and snappy. If he's tired or in pain, he's going to snap and very easily at that. But its not usual for this to happen, Ethereion is very in control of what he feels.

¬ History: Ethereion went to Ipswich and almost graduated there but it was shut down before he could actually graduate. He didnt mind not getting the diploma - he was worried about how he would manage his gifts without Ipswich's aid. Coming from a line of powerful Psychics, Ethereion's worry was justified, not just for him - but his twin sister - Ethereal. Somehow - he managed to coach both of them through their training and to master what they can do. Finishing school in a public place, despite the migraines, he managed to finish and move on and get a job after some collage.
He works in a computer shop not far from where he lives, when one day - he got this little letter in the mail. He never saw Ethereal so rilled up about something, she tore it open and read it, her face pailing so he read over her shoulder. A cry for the Ipswich students to rebel. The only thing he could say - "Interesting..."

She is intensely loyal to her cause, and will do anything necessary to benefit it.
¬ History: Zoe was born as a regular Shadowhunter, trained all her life for combat against the Demons and Downworlders who threatened the existence of the mundanes. When she was twelve, her parents sent her to Ipswich to further her training and education. Before that, she had rarely been outside the walls of the Institute except for missions that were easy enough for her to complete.

She continued her duties while in school, fighting many demons that were attracted to the school due to all the Downworlders present. When the school closed, she was heartbroken; she had grown to love the place and all that were in it. When the new laws were announced, she immediately jumped on the chance to help the students, signing herself up to help them.
