Cain Nisshoku hadn't quite expected what it was life had placed before him. Born as a half necromancer and half summoner the last place he expected to be was a waiter and cafe decorator, a job he had been forced into. Always bringing along one of his many 'plush' creatures, at the request of his employers, he quietly does his job. Of course this is merely just a side job. His main one is a necro/summoner for hire, which usually leads him to the world's underground and carrying out some of the most devilish deeds. He had been doing good in keeping his side and main jobs separate, at least until some of his 'clients' began coming to some of the cafes he worked at to request a 'job'.
A quick glance down at the black pocket watch in his hand, told Cain that he was just barely going to make it to the cafe on time today. “
Stupid people requesting stupid jobs such as reviving a rat ran over by a bike only to be beaten back to death...Is this what the world's coming to? Necromancers used to revive things so that people can just kill them again? Honestly...” the raven haired male mumbled angrily to himself.
He had been on his way to his side job as a waiter when a few boys stopped him and requested that he revive a pet rat that had been 'murdered by some mean boy'. They had claimed it was a pet and that they had heard he could do 'miracles' from someone. At first Cain had refused, but after seeing the teary eyed kids he couldn't help but begrudgingly give in and revive the creature. Of course it was only after that, that he realized that he had been lied to and returning the creature to a world of pain was what he was really doing. Once the rodent began moving and breathing again the same boys that had made the request suddenly began beating the poor thing to death., though not before getting a few choice, and unknowingly to them lethal, bites from the once again dead rat.
Running beside him the small
creature, that he had chosen to summon and bring with him today, added in a small yip of agreement to its 'master's' angered words. This caused the black haired male to glance down with his usually crimson eyes and a small slight smile to spread on his face. The little creatures he chose to bring with him had always found some sort of way to bring a smile to his face or at least temporarily take his mind away from the gloom it had been lingering on, if only for a little while.
As he continued to hurry his way to the assigned cafe of the day he outstretched one arm, upon which the little creature miraculously managed to barely jump and cling onto while it ran. Beating its small wings the creature managed to lift itself fully onto his somewhat moving arm, and steady itself the best it could while it walked up the length of it to perch on his shoulder where it would remain for the rest of the time that he was working in that day's cafe.
Rounding the last corner that would lead him to the cafe's entrance he slowed down a bit, knowing that he would now make it to his job there on time, again if only barely. As he walked he took a few slow deep breaths to slow his heart rate and closing his eyes in the process, though opening them up in time to see one of the usual customers coming out and a new one taking what was the usual seat of the customer that had just left. '
Still coming here is he...' the necromancer thought idly as he entered, taking one last look at the customer that seemed to always 'stalk' one of the waitresses here, before moving his gaze towards the newer customer.
Cain was fairly familiar with most of the customers that entered the cafes he went to, and this one was by far new. As far as he could tell he had never seen the red haired male before, and his clothing hinted that he probably wasn't from around the area, or at least that's what he presumed. He knew it was possible that the other male may have indeed been from around the area and that he simply hadn't visited the cafes he worked at, or it was possible that he had and Cain just hadn't been around that day or time. Either way he was a new face to the summoner and that's all there really was to it. From what he could tell one of the waitresses were already attending to him and thus wasn't required for him to wait on him. Besides he knew that technically his first task was to check on the 'plush toys' that the manager had him use to 'decorate' the cafe, and make sure they were at least still breathing and fed.
There was
one in particular he was called in to look at, as it was claimed that there was a 'malfunction' with it and that some customers had claimed that it bit them. Of course it would probably simply be written off as the 'needles that held its teeth in place' were just poking out and the people simply pricked themselves on them. Of course Cain knew that the customers that had made the claim were correct and that the little creature that had been doing it was probably just hungry.
As he began making his way to it, he gave a small wave of greeting towards the other waitresses in the cafe, though knew that a return greeting wouldn't probably happen. It was no secret to him that some of them thought him a bit scary, mainly because of the natural dark aura that a necromancer gave off around them. Perhaps if it weren't for his 'cute' little creatures even the customers, that weren't looking for him for his abilities, would probably shy away from him a bit. Well there were a few of his usual that probably wouldn't, mainly since they had gotten to know him a bit, but even most of them were there for a glance and feel at his little 'plush toys'.
