That is all so funny! But , sadly I meet people all the time who have no idea... Could it be because I spend so much time with 7 year olds?
Anyway, Carzeebear and her wee brother have been forced to listen to the Beatles, Queen, the Eagles and Abba because it is my job as a parent to educate them in the way of good music :D They can also quote Monty Python and Billy Connolly for the same cultural reasons. My Mum used to watch the Beatles when she was a teenager, in Liverpool, before they were famous. I grew up listening to them, Queen's Night at the Opera and Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells because they were the only "cool" albums my parents had. Seriously. The rest were Shirley Bassey, Jazz quartets and classical stuff.
Carzeebear has just admitted to ignorance of Elton John's songs so more education is coming up.... ;)
