The Pharaoh was sat on his throne just as the sun was rising above the horizon, overlooking his kingdom in thebes. A new monument was being built in honour of his achievements during the Final Battle with the Hyksos.
Egypt was finally at peace. On his head sat the crown Egypt had been fighting to get back from the Fake King for almost 100 years. Pharaoh Ahmose was once again, as his great grandfather was, the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, as it would stay until the end of time.
As Ahmose sat, watching the workers building his monument, he pondered on the future. He had but 2 wives, and none had concieved yet. He was almost 27 and still had no sons to call his own. It thoroughly displeased him, and he knew a third wife was the only way to promise himself a son at last.
Ahmose wanted to follow the traditions of his father, who married his sister and had 2 sons in their first 3 years of marriage. Ahmose also had a sister, and a beautiful one at that. She was called Halima, and was 6 years prior to himself. He wanted her so badly, but she had other ideas, thinking she could choose her own because of her royal status. Not in my Kingdom! Pharaoh thought.
Beconing Memnon, the royal protector since the Hyksos invasion, he demanded to see his sister. Memnon agree'd, and headed out towards Halima's royal chambers, where she would hopefully already be dressed and fed by her loyal servant Aken, bought from Cush by the King himself.
Memnon knocked on the door of Halima's Chamber and spoke softly.
"My most royal Princess, The Pharaoh wishes to speak with you" He requested, without opening the door.
The door did open, but it was not the Princess who answered, it was Aken, the slave. He stood tall, yet weak, and responded for her.
"She will be dressed and brought to him by myself shortly, master Memnon" Aken replied, bowing to the soldier.
Memnon nodded back and reported back to the Pharaoh with the news. Meanwhile Aken helped Halima get the rest of her face chalk prepared for her brother, the Pharaoh.
"Beautiful as always, my most precious Princess" Aken said, Kneeling beside her.
