Damien waited until the man was done speaking. Then spent another few minutes thinking. He hadn't meant for him to get hurt, but he couldn't stop the guards from doing what they wanted with the prisoners. It was their job, after all.
"I can't just let you go. If I just let the prisoners go when they ask, then there would be nothing but crimes all the time." he stated. A lot of the prisoners here was there for a reason. Mostly for murder and other dangerous acts. And it was part of his job to keep his people safe.
"I came down here to treat your wounds." Damien stated, holding up the first aid kit. "After that is done, I could send for you to have something to eat, if that is what you wish." he told him. Sure, he wasn't going to let him go. But that didn't mean he wanted him to hate him.
