You're only listening to the tip of the iceberg, honestly. Go listen to Flobots, or something underground. There's a whoooole load of things better than most mainstream rap (well wait, Eminem's still awesome).

Anyway, things that get me really tired about quick that are music related, and eventually turn into me ranting:

-Bands who only make music to make money from their fans, or fans of another band.
-People ranting about the radio. There are points that are true, but it all boils down to the fact it was made for popular music from it's conception, just like breaking news is made for popular news. It's only a sign of music changing, not the radio.
-"Emos." I know what real emo is, and it's not MCR/Linkin Park. And I'm dead surprised this trend is still happening.
-People who think Deadmau5 is the only Electronic artist in existence, or on that note think that Techno is the only Electronic subgenre.
-"MEEEEEEEETAL METALLICA ROXX!" No sorry, I may like my metal much so... but I don't enjoy the "metalhead lifestyle."
-Hipsters who won't listen to something, and only listen to one specific type of music because it's popular/obscure. Even though most of the popular artists don't deserve it, that reason alone shouldn't determine tastes. Neither should your religion, going on a tangent from that.
