hmmmm.... >w<
I really dislike how many of the singers I hear just talk... they dont sing, they talk. It's like the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. What disturbs me is that singing programs like Vocaloid and Utauloid make voices that have even more emotion than humans. It's just... ugh.... -.-
I also pretty much hate all the mainstream music and artists that think that because they're all cute and glomp-able and stuff, they're automatic rockstars. No offense to the Jonas Brothers fans out there, but honestly, without Disney Channel, they'd still be playing in a dang garage. Rebecca Black is an entirely other story -- that's just a rich kid who wants to make some money, so her parents payed a truckload of cash to get a record thing. All that happened was that the song because infamous for being bad. I just can't stand this stuff....
Also -- AUTOTUNING. That has to just stop. Most people sound better without the autotuning. I can only understand using it if you're trying to make a cover for a song that's by a Vocaloid/Utauloid, because their music is designed to fit the robotic-toned, but still unbelievably realistic voices.
Erm... also... The lyrics that people are using nowadays is just BAD. They're either all about love this, and love that. Or about how some dude wants to kill his gf. OR -- they're just some retarded thing that sounds like it came out of the singer's behind. Creativity would be nice.
There's also been this thing about metal and stuff... like... people always say that metal fans should be all hardcore and act in this certain way and dress like this and love Metallica and blahblahblah. Sorry, I don't like that. I LOVE metal, though, and no one ever believes it because I don't look the part. I look all innocent and stuff, but I love metal... so meh.
Finally, since I'm sure this has turned into a rant, I absolutely hate mainstream rap. It's not that I hate rap itself, I just don't like how all the mainstream rap is about being drunk/having sex/having money/other related things. Um... Linkin Park (which I know is rap/rock) I will agree to listen to (only their old stuff, like Hybrid Theory) because it sounds great and because the lyrics have some deeper meaning.
