Li'ing gave a small bow of his own before following after Megora, letting his gaze wander around the passages they walked through before stepping onto the carpet of grass that indicated that they had entered the gardens.
Much of the Illumine city was like a garden itself so the only way to tell the difference was when the floor suddenly gave way to grass. Naturally occurring species' had been left to thrive as they would had the elves not shown up so many doorways were hung over with ivy and it wasn't strange to find flowers or trees just growing in random rooms with large windows to allow maximum sunlight passage.
Having lived there for his entire life, Li'ing was still struck by the beauty of the place, and couldn't help but wonder how anyone could commit such a high offense such as murder...especially in the royal gardens. A slight rustling in the bush to his side had Li'ing tense up suddenly as he whirled around, one hand already on his belt where he kept an elven dagger on his person at all times.
"Be calm, My Prince, or others will think you to be suspect in this case of murder most treasonous." a familiar voice wafted out. the branches of the bush were pushed aside and out stepped an elf of the same pale complexion as the Prince. This elf though did not sport the gray eyes of royalty, instead, his eyes burned a molten gold and his hair ebony to Li'ing's snow. Li'ing's muscles relaxed and a smile spread across his lips as he stepped forward to greet his long-time childhood friend.
"Tia'an. It is good to see you my friend." Li'ing said as the two Illumine elves clasped hands and exchanged a quick one-armed hug. "And you Li'ing, though I had wished for our reunion to be in a much...less troubled time." Tia'an responded.
The two smiled at each other before Li'ing turned to where he had last seen Megora and spoke up again. "My Lady, i do not believe you have met my long-time companion. This is Tia'an aiRay. And Tia'an, this is the Princess of the Twilight elves, Megora Daedhrogel." Tia'an bowed to the Twilight elf, "It is an honor to meet you My Lady."
