When the woman came over to him, Rua eyed the snake around her neck curiously for a moment before he offered a smile to her and the snake. She had introduced herself, and he couldn't help but do the same. "I'm Rua." Maybe she'd heard of him? Maybe not. Not many people knew of him, mostly just the ones in this small town. He was a singer, but mostly he sung in clubs and bars. He'd never hit it big. That was alright though. He just needed a change of scenery. His voice had sounded a bit hoarse, it was very low. As if he were on the verging of losing it completely for a little while. He was. Too much singing..and being choked.
When she asked if she could get him something, he nodded slightly. Fingers reaching up to rub lightly up and down the center of his throat. "Something warm...soothing to an overused voice...if you have it?" Mostly he was thinking warm tea would help, it was the only remedy he knew, he let that hand drop to his lap.
