First of all, I just want to congratulate you on deciding to make this change a healthy one, because I've been in your shoes before a done the opposite, which may get short term results, but definitely doesn't stick.
The first step is to not think of this as a diet, you're changing the way you live to something you can do for the rest of your life at your new healthy weight, so start by making small changes. What really helped me was keeping a diary of what I eat in one day. Those handfuls of candy and boredom snacks become much more real when you see them in writing! As others have said, cut back on sweets and fast foods, but don't eliminate them completely initially if it will only cause you to binge later on. Make snacks fruits and vegetables and work towards a healthy, balanced diet.
As for exercise, it sounds like you have a really good start, and the best kind of exercise is the kind you will do. So if you enjoy your bike rides and walks, just keep it up! The most important thing is just to get moving, first because it will make you healthier and second because it will help your weight loss along. (:
To keep this from getting too long, I'm going to stop now, but if you need someone to talk to feel free to private message me, and best of luck on your journey!
