As he switched gears from admiring the evening's decor to searching for a dancing partner, a woman standing alone [Alice] caught Nikholas' eye. Drawing out the most charming smile he could muster, he approached her directly, an air of confidence in the way he held himself, though it was not snobbish in the least. In a fashion only those who were older would understand, he bowed his head slightly to her, offering out one of his white-gloved hands, palm-upwards, "May I have this dance?" His voice was melodic, confident as his actions were, yet polite. He could not see her, obviously, form beneath her silver mask, but he did admire what he could, finding the woman to be rather attractive.
Viktoria finished off her glass of red wine, which she had thankfully not harmed either her mask, dress, or gloves with- and made her way over to the group of people whom were not yet dancing, most of which being the shyer guys- those poor souls. She, however, did not have such a lack of confidence, though she was not quite so direct as her lord. The first to draw her attention happened to be another woman, one in a red and black mask [Zarra] that was also standing alone by the unwilling guys. Approaching her casually, she smiled in a friendly fashion, "Hello," she began in a warm voice, "Would you like to dance?"
