People intentionally run over turtles here. :/
I remember my dad passed a turtle crossing the road once. I asked him to pull over so I could move it off the road. As I approached the turtle, a truck came flying by and swerved purposely to hit it...right in front of me. I was so upset for the longest time. That wasn't right and I hate watching innocent animals die. :/
