What they're feeling I can understand. It's just, if I can put it into a single line, I can. It flows better that way, I find. I'm such an avid reader people wouldn't recognise me without a book, so I can understand where you're coming from there, but for me, the flow and style matter more than the length. For me, something like this:
'There you are! I've been looking for you,' she said, annoyed.
flows better than this:
'There you are! I've been looking for you,' she said. She was annoyed.
So continually splitting it up into two would irk me, and I'd most likely forget to ^-^;;
