Perhaps there would be a useful weapon hidden in there somewhere if she was lucky.
You find the lids to the bins open. One contains a dark, tarry looking substance that gives off a rotten smell. The one beside it is empty, save some dirt around the bottom and what looks like a load of dark hair. Nothing of use in either one.
  • Continue your investigation of various empty-looking places.
  • Finally begin a panic and refuse to leave the room.
  • Investigate the door and go through to whatever’s waiting.

Staying down here was just no longer an option.
You open the door and find a narrow hallway with two doors on either side before ending in a slightly lighted staircase. The door to the right is padlocked, but it looks rusty. Nothing has bothered it. The other door looks unlocked, but is closed. Could be interesting to take a look, no?
  • Go upstairs without considering the doors.
  • Attempt to saw through the rusted padlock on the right door.
  • Go straight through the unlocked door to the left.

Kemper's eyes opened groggily as he moved to sit up immediately hitting his forehead on something cold and metal. That wasn't how he usually woke, but, he'd woken in worse situations. Kemper yawned, oblivious to what was happening to him. He lay there for a moment waking up before clearing his throat. "Okay guys, you got me." But there was no response.

Shimmying and wriggling and pushing around until he figured out that he could move his "bed" by placing his hands on the roof of it and pushing, Kemper opened the body drawer. He sat up and looked around the dimly lit room as he rubbed haphazardly at the red spot on his forehead. A morgue? Damn. This prank definitely topped all of the ones he'd played on those guys.

Grumbling angrily as he climbed out of the drawer, Kemper was already plotting his revenge prank. Across the room, the door was open and he headed towards it, thinking of nothing but his friends who were surely in the next room having a laugh at his expense. As he took a step, his shoe landed in a small puddle and Kemper lost his balance. He tried to grab onto the table beside him, but alas, his hand grasped a slippery surface and before he knew it he was on his back on the floor.

Just fucking great, he thought. What was all this crap on the floor anyway? He sat up and brought his wet hand up to look at the substance that had caused him to lose his grip on the table. For a long moment, Kemper sat there in the floor staring at the crimson liquid dripping from his hand. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see something poking out from the other side of the table. He couldn't be sure what it was, but he was beginning to assume his friends were really taking this too far...
All we need is a young rebel. You stare around; obviously you’ve never been here before, and you’re undoubtedly alone. It’s no question as to the identity of the dark red substance on your hand, though. A few bins are against the right wall, but the lids are off, so a quick glance in would let you know what’s in. They’re probably empty. However, a few covered rectangles sit on the counter near the bins, and there’s a sink in the middle, but you can’t tell what’s inside from your position on the floor.
  • Get up and shake off the initial shock. Then, consider the events leading up to your arrival.
  • Immediately search for a weapon in case some crazy is still around.
  • Forget the idea of a weapon or figuring out why you’re here and go straight to the door that’s obviously the exit.

The brunette didn't once think that another might have been in the same predicament as she. Not much of a surprise considering the rather stressful circumstances. Plus, everything just seemed to be getting worse with every second!
The best way to throw anyone, even a crazy person, would be to run yelling from your place of initial confinement. Your feet fall harder than you ever imagine on the hollow stairs, and halfway up, your foot smashes through a termite-eaten board of wood. It doesn’t seem to faze you, however, because you’re moving too quickly.

You make it through the door upstairs and find you’re in a dining room. Its especially long oak table is laid out as if for a meal, and candles litter the room. A large iron chandelier glows to compensate the lack of light from very tall, narrow windows covered with heavy red drapes. Several archways lead off to different directions.
  • Examine the table. You must be hungry after all this! Perhaps it’ll have something to eat.
  • Search for something other than food. Maybe you’ll surprise yourself?
  • Go through the archway to the left, along the longest wall. It leads to the kitchen.
  • Go through the archway to the center. It leads to a lounge.

Before she did, however, she completely focused on listening to anything that could be on the other side of the door. It proved too thick, however, so she was forced to just build up the courage and open the darn thing.
Courageous one, aren’t you? Through the door you find a bare lightbulb throwing a sickly yellow glow over various items, and the scent in the room actually turns your stomach. Mainly, meat hooks. Some are bare, but rusted with age. A few in the corner have slivers and strings of meat hanging from them, which seemed to have been there for a while, possibly weeks. The ones front and center contain very large slabs of unidentifiable meat that appear oddly fresh. On one in particular you think you can see the skull of a human.

As you stand there, the light bulb explodes and sends hot glass showering over you. Naturally, you stumble into the hallway behind you.
  • Shut the door and act as if you didn’t see anything.
  • Go back in to explore. Maybe there’s a different light.
  • Leave everything as it is and go straight upstairs.

You’re taking the map? But what if someone else is around? They could use a layout too, you know. Well, it’s your decision. You begin an exploration, wandering about. Your first destination is to your right, through an archway that leads to the kitchen. It seems the entire house is immaculate, as though someone, or a series of someones, had gone on a cleaning spree but had left the basement untouched.

You’re in an attached greenhouse, on the other end of the ground floor, when you hear something. Someone yelling, obviously a girl, and thudding as if they’re running up a set of hollow stairs. Most likely, the stairs you recently came up.
  • Go see what the bother’s about.
  • Stay where you are, even if the girl could use help.
  • Ignore it and go upstairs. It might just be in your head.
