Oliver felt a stab of annoyance at her condescending dismissal towards his leaving earlier today. He took a swig of pumpkin juice and refused to acknowledge her notes.
"You chose a topic without me?" he said, surprised. "Was it honestly so hard to wait a couple of hours so we could pick a topic together?"
Oliver sighed in annoyance as he flung the notes back at her. "It wasn't as if I was skiving from research," he explained as he lowered his voice into a whisper. "You know when McGonagall came into Quirrell's class? She found us a Seeker, and according to her, he's a bloody good one at that." Oliver could barely keep his excitement contained and his voice rose a couple octaves toward the end. Surely even she would understand the importance of filling in the empty Seeker spot over researching a topic for class.
