At one point or another, the brothers had managed to split from the other. Jack and Wolff, being the responsible two, spent their day turning up every lose stone with the hopes of finding the less than reliable Ryder. It was during their searching and hunting that they wandered into a pub, which immediately foiled the plans of finding the blonde. When liquor was involved, Jack lost himself. The rough taste of the bitter ale was always so tempting and offered a great form of escape. Besides, if he hadn't found Ryder by now, he wouldn't find him anytime soon. When the two got lost, they got lost.
While Jack was busy drinking down his hard-earned cash, Ryder was playing the handsome charmer. He already had three ladies on his arms and was going in for the fourth. He would have succeed had one of the girls not noticed some fancy man by the name of Sir Robert Smithington. He was a wealthy fellow with a thick mustache and an even thicker checkbook. In a matter of seconds, Ryder went from stud to sucker.
Ducking into a park, the blonde scratched his head before pulling out a lit. Giving it a drag, he watched as the cloud of wispy white smoke danced it way up toward the sky. The day was still young but the lack of breakfast was starting to take it's toll on him. His earth tone eyes searched the area and eventually landed on a man who was setting up a cart. Looking hard, he saw that the man was selling some dried jerky. He could easily afford that, he told himself. With the usual air of confidence in his pace, he strolled up and procured a piece of meat. It really hit the spot but it didn't seem to fill his craving. He needed something more. A real piece of meat.
That's when it came to him with a pair of long, slender legs and some nice curves. Hooked instantly, Ryder could feel his heart pound from his chest. This woman, she needed to be his. Throwing on the charm and slicking his hair back, he made his move.
It was a slow approach but it still shined with his usual charming aura. When he was finally upon her, the male moved into bow before glancing up at her with his murky-brown eyes.
"Sorry," he said while moving up from his bow, "I thought you were someone else. You've the face of fame and the beauty of an angel. I just assumed you were the princess. My apologizes," turning on his heel, Ryder wore a grin. Would she take the bait and call him back? Or would she berate him for being a fool? He hoped for the first, but knew today was not turning out in his favor so he figured he would get himself a lashing.
