After surfing the web and discussing it with other gamers, I have come to the conclusion just how much I dislike Square Enix. Their games just keep flopping as of late, FF XIV flopped majorly. FF XIII, I know there are fans out there here, and I like it somewhat, but I really think the game could have been so much better. The sequel I cannot comment on since I have not played. Versus XIII I think will be this companies only redeeming game, if it actually is good. Kingdom Hearts 3 has disappeared into a nexus. They already have plans for FF XV and is in development! (I believe there is already a trailer of the beginning movie for FF XV) I seriously think they have gotten too far ahead of themselves.

FF VII Remake for PS3

Ok, this has been a rumor for years after the demo tech. Fans were riled up for years and some people still have hope. Some people think, let it rest. I have heard all of my RPG friends say that don't have a PS3 that if a remake did come they would buy a PS3 just to play it. Square Enix publically came out and said they would not make it until they made a game that would top it in every way. I hate to say this but that hasn't happened yet. Maybe graphics and sound have come a long way, but there is an element that is missing that Squaresoft had in their games that Square Enix just lacks majorly. To finish this thought, FF VII will never be remade just because if they stick to what they said it will never happen because they are incompetant of making a better game. When I say better, I'm not talking about just graphics, music, and playability-- but the ability to draw the player in and invest them in it.

Chrono Trigger & Chrono Trigger Ressurection

Take Chrono Trigger for example, just the nostalgic music, unforgetable characters, the various endings. So much that was able to be done. The combination attacks! The game brought tears to my eyes as a 15 year old. My friends and I talk about it to this day. Then of course once Squaresoft became Square Enix, the quality in the game to pull in its audience began to diminish. Fans took it upon themselves to remake Chrono Trigger give this old title that carried so much nostalgia life once again. I understand the business aspect of it, but they completely shut these people down with threat of legal action. They could have worked with them to recognize these talented programmers and artists-- but the resentful and jealous Square Enix shut them down I think more for the reason that these people made them look really lazy as not long back they re- released it on the DS Nintendo. I refused to buy it of course-- I have an orginal for the SNES and PS1. My word to square enix is but one --- PATHETIC!

I finish this thought with this, I guess in the world of games, making money is the bottom line these days, crank em in and crank them out, and a lot of games it shows. Companies could learn a lot from their fans just by simply listening to them.
