A low growl came from the fur ball sitting next Ezra as the thing held captive in the web began to panic and fight hard to escape its fate. He reached behind him and picked the cat up placing it further behind him and out of sight of the web and its captive. “Calm down, Pebbles. It’s just a butterfly; I doubt it would taste all that well anyway.” He patted the soft fur on the feline’s head and turned his attention back to the winged creature.

He reached out and delicately pinched the wings between his fingers and pulled. The web didn’t want to give up the catch it had made and ended up coming with engulfing the wigs even more. ‘Well, that didn’t work as planned.’ He thought with a scowl as he looks down at the now web covers wigs. “Sorry…” He said softly though he didn’t entirely know why he had to apologize to this insect. It wasn’t like it would care or remember any of this after it was freed. He pinched down on the web with her free hand and pulled freeing a good portion of the wings free of most of the web. He smiled at his handy work and brought the creature closer to his face for a better inspection. It was a rather big butterfly, but it wasn’t like Ezra had been an insect fanatic.

His eyes began to focus on the figure of a …Girl? He clenched his eyes shut and shook his head lightly. A few strands of his hair rested in front of his eyes, but he ignored them as he opening his eyes again to look at the wings and the body attached to them. Yeah, that’s the figure of a girl … He thought as he stared for a moment before it actually sunk in and register. “Shi-“ He said dropping the winged creature as he fell backwards on to his bottom. A low hiss came from behind him as Pebbles regained sight and interested in the tiny creature that was now must easier to capture. An orange ball of fur launched itself at the wings peeking out from the grass. Ezra’s quick reflexes were the only that saved it from a very unfortunate death. “You can’t eat that. You really can’t eat that.” He said softly as he continued to stare at the wings.
