Having seen Vene take flight, Zay's eyes widened in surprise, and he watched her for a few minutes. From his hiding place he had seen Ri sneak over and take one of the strange skins, and finding it funny Zay smiled a bit. Curiosity getting to him, he slowly crept out from behind the wall. Zay didn't approach the others, instead he decided to sit down against the wall to watch and listen, unless someone called him. After seeing Minako's whip shrink, Zay wasn't sure what to think. ..okay, maybe it's not a vine? He thought a little confused to himself, and continued to watch Vene, Ri, and Minako, though his gaze did still sometimes drift over to the strange skins.
