Draco's face went from happy, so hurt, then to angry quicker than he could speak. "Equals Potter? That's how you feel? Oh poor Harry Potter always getting the bad hand in life. Oh poor Harry Potter who had a choice what to do with himself. Poor, poor Harry Potter who had friends and extra help and attention. Poor you." He stood up, emotions closing off until he appeared bored. "Whatever Potty. You keep believeing all the crap you let yourself believe while I go hope my family doesn't murder me for talking to you." He could feel pain rising in his chest, aching. "Go talk to Ron and Hermione. Or maybe Ginny. I'm sure they'd love to spend more time feeling sorry for you." He turned and slapped Harry clean across the face. He didn't realized he'd been screaming the whole time. "You're right. It is late. In the most terrifying place on campus. Let me, as the inferior life form go ahead and let you leave first." He stormed off deeper into the trees, not paying attention to his surroundings. "Good bye Potter." He hid himself in the brush, being silent and quiet, hoping to be alone for a while. The only thought he could really come up with was that he should've kept hiding behind a quill.
Within moments, Draco could hear the sound of something large trudging through the forest. He could feel his breath catching and he pressed down lower into the bushes. "Eh, 'arry, 'sat you?" It was Hagrid and Draco rolled his eyes in annoyance. He'd never been fond of the giant, though he as beginning to realize more and more that he was harmless. He figured Harry would never be in trouble for being down here, so he kept quiet and didn't show himself.
