Akane smiled as she finished the sweet syrup drizzle on the fruit tarts that had come out of the oven. Sighing softly, she looked out the window with a clouded gaze. There was so much pain and blood lately. Being raised during a war, the woman had been known and accustomed to all the bloodshed and the agony. Thinking that her children might have to go through such a thing though, made her gut twist in a cold knot. Her daughter was already fragile, having the royal 'curse' as some called it. It could be a blessing if the girl could control it, but for now, they had to keep a close eye on her because it could seriously injure her if she accedentally accessed the power before she was strong enough. Hiroaki on the other hand, he was strong and able bodied. Though it was his mental strength the mother worried for. He still had a love and curiousty for the the humans, whether or not he would admit it aloud. Akane was a very observant person, her eye for detail startlingly sharp, and she hadn't missed the signs that Hiroaki still wanted to see the humans, and was doing so. It took the deepest trust and faith in him for her not to speak of this to her husband or son, and it ate at her whenever she saw the signs. But she believed that trust should be given until broken, and so far her son hadn't gotten hurt, and hadn't interacted, just observed. Oh how she wished to make him more wiry.
Stepping out from behind the island, she decided she would go round up her children. The mother hadn't been home for a week, and she missed seeing her babies. As she walked, she kept her thoughts up in her mind. It was easy to admit that Hiroaki and Hinata were sheltered, not in a bad way, but more so then she or her husband ever were. Being raised during a time of war, changed all the wolves of their generation. Many times Akane had a temper so terrible she used to be able to burn whole sections of the forest, and had done so on many occasions. When Hiroaki had been born, the wild and free spirited woman didn't change, but she softened around the edges a bit. She still went on adventures, she still played pranks with her children. Though she was definately different structured then her husband, who was definetly more strict and static, she could bring out the inner male she fell in love with.
Turning the corner, the mother's ears shot up on her head and her tail flickered as she heard footsteps. it was obviously her son's, which she knew very well, as well as his guardian. Sending a mental message to her son's guardian that she was going to spoke the boy, the mother smirked. Sliding down the hall in the shadows, she kept herself out of obvious sight, and then lept, landing on the ceiling rafters and hid behind a big beam. As he came around the corner she waited and then pounced. Her movement brought him down on the rug on the floor and she laughed as she put him in a head lock and ruffled up his hair. That always got him to tussle with her, he hated her messing with his hair, and that's why she always did.
"Good morning! You should be more awake when someone can just jump on you like this! Goodness soon Hinata may be able to pin you boy!" she teased as she batted his ear playfully and grinned in challenge. As he came at her like she knew he would, the two of them tussled and rolled on the ground for a solid five minutes before Akane landed a tickle attack and sat on her son's back pinning his arms. "Mercy?" she asked playfully, laughing lightly with her eyes sparkling. Even being in a dress she made sure she could still kick tail.
