It was a whole day before Zap was finally well enough to remain awake, even retaining his human form for longer than a few minutes. He managed to sit on the bed he had been placed on, finishing the jar of nectar the human had given him. He felt so thankful for all the help the man had given him, and a bit guilty for forcing him to stay awake all night and day. He looked exhausted, but happy to see Zap strong enough to stand on his feet.

Zap glanced over his shoulder at his still badly damaged wing and frowned. It was the hardest part of him to heal, and he knew it would take a lot longer until it was good enough to fly with. "Thank you so much, human," Zap bowed slightly to the man who's name he hadn't learnt yet.
