Eternia City, the Eternal City, gateway to advancements within science, medical, technology and even human nature. Eternia has its politicians, its Governor, but everyone knows who has the true power within Eternia. The city is known for its exemplary police force, headed by a group of specially trained operatives. The best of the best, known as C.R.O.S.S. It is said that you do not choose to join, they choose you. Eternia however, is also home to a powerful and notorious gang, who has labeled themselves as C.R.E.S.S, the mirror or anti form of C.R.O.S.S. They have their hand in many things around the city, just as C.R.O.S.S does. Some of the members of C.R.E.S.S, are ex members of C.R.O.S.S, including its leader, Kiba Haruta. He was said to have been the best of the best within C.R.O.S.S, in line to become the next head.

After an incident that has now been deemed classified however, he turned his back on and left the force. It was not long after this, that he became the new leader of C.R.E.S.S at the mere age of twenty. It was also soon after his departure, that a male of sixteen shocked everyone, and rose to the rank of head of C.R.O.S.S. It was no secret that both this male and Kiba knew each other, they grew up together. Some even went so far as to accuse the two of being romantically involved, for their relationship when seen together at times was questionable, as was a few things happening behind the scenes. Four years have passed, and under the rule of both this prodigy and Kiba, both C.R.O.S.S and C.R.E.S.S have risen in power. The two have become the most powerful forces within Eternia city. Though they seemed to be locked in a sort of back and forth dance, there was also an unspoken truth as to how far one side would go. But that truce has been shattered.

Kiba’s body is discovered within his known home in the center of C.R.E.S.S territory. He seems to have died from a wound sustained by a specialized saber, a mark which seems to mirror one of a custom blade made for the head of C.R.O.S.S. This leads many to believe the young head is responsible for the death of Kiba. It ignites a long festering hatred and fire between the two sides, and now under new management, C.R.E.S.S has vowed to take back the city and to destroy C.R.O.S.S. Especially their leader, who has become the target now of murder and capture. Eternia and its’ people are caught in the crosshairs of a coming war that will possibly do more harm than good in the end. The sides are not without power though, for Eternia has also been the center of a new kind of weapon known as Soul. This is seen only by those who possess a powerful heart, and will. It is only as strong as these qualities of the wielder. Soul is the tangible manifestation of one’s energy.

Some use this energy to enhance certain areas of their physical attributes such as speed, strength, endurance, etc. Some are able to infuse it into ordinary objects. One instance of this was of a man who infused his energy into simple rubber balls, turning them into bombs which would explode on contact. Kiba was known to be able to use his energy, manifesting it to raise his body temperature, as well as the heat of the air around him and whatever he came into physical contact with. This in a sense gave way to his profile of wielding fire within his fights, or leaving his opponents burned. However, using this energy does drain the wielder the more they use it, using too much at once can kill someone. Many have pushed themselves past the breaking point with this power in an attempt to surpass and evolve. It also is the source of currently many experiments within Eternia that few know about…experiments that would leave anyone pale and sick. This added tidbit within the fight causes quite a stir of its own. As does the mysterious third party known only as P.H.A.N.T.O.M, who seems to be running behind the scenes. Who will survive? Who is the true culprit and instigator behind this war? And why?...
