This is definitely a small community, and I like jelly's analogy of Mene being like a village compared to Gaia's big city.

I loved Gaia when it had that small town feeling, and I held onto that love for a long time after it disappeared, but I finally couldn't take it anymore and transitioned to Mene full-time last year. I prefer the community vibe over the anonymous one, so I feel comfortable here. Not coincidentally, I just moved IRL from my college city back to my tiny hometown.

That said, I don't post every day, which I know contributes to the slowness of the site. In addition to liking small communities, I'm also a bit of a hermit. I like to imagine that my avatar has a little cottage on the outskirts of town, up on a ridge overlooking the sea, and she comes down into the town every few days to run errands.
