Getting farmers to mass-produce crops in the 50s to bring down food prices. Corn syrup doesn't exist in the UK, not as a thing sold in supermarkets, and the food manufacturers here don't use anywhere
near as much fructose stuff as the US does.
Which, of course, is why brits find a lot of US food
way too sweet, and why American's think a lot of our food is nasty!

not count as an impulse buy, never ever! We all need pens, even those people who never write anything any more because everything's done on a keyboard.
