Yeah. It's from her perspective, how the grudge happened that led to the curse, and all.

Shows her as much misunderstood, somewhat sorry for all the bad stuff, and she eventually has to be the good one and save the princess.

It's an awesome revision and re-telling, I think.

A lot of people think it's glorifying Satan somehow, because she has horns and doesn't look like a flower faery, but whatevs.

I think if anything it tries to remove the stigma put on women as the source of evil in the world by so many patriarchal traditions.
