Seeing the smile cross the other woman's face again, Cara let out a soft sigh. So she hadn't been offended by the contact. There was still some oddity in her manners that drew her attention, a tad suspicious of her as Cara hesitantly watched her from over her cooking. "Right... It is." She questioned, eyes lingering in her direction as Numira moved to sit down. Her strange manners so far coupled with her seeming curiosity with magic was sending Cara's brain smoke signals that maybe she was someone to keep an eye on. Foreign, non-magic users have been stirring trouble... Frowning a little in Kiernan's direction, she saw him moving to sit near the girl. He seems so trusting, though. It's... refreshing to see him at peace. Shaking her head, Cara set her mind on accepting this odd woman. Her brother was a good judge of character, and she hadn't actually seemed hostile in the least.

Kiernan sat but a foot or so from Numira, only to catch her warning with a bit of surprise. "Al... right?" He was about to ask what she planned on doing, with such a weird warning, but then she was just... sort of gone. His eyes widened with a sense of childish wonder as her markings began to glow before him for this second time, gaze following their colors curiously. Kiernan refrained from making contact or even trying to speak with her, but the effect this had on him was not shared by his younger sister.

Upon seeing the glowing lights, Cara's eyes widened, lips parting with her surprise as her gaze darted in their direction. "Kiernan! What's she doing?" She exclaimed worriedly, scooting out from behind the kitchen counters and towards the two of them. A silver glow came from her hand as she began to swoop it into a motion, but Kiernan gently caught her wrist before anything more happened. Casting an apologetic glance in Cara's direction, Kiernan would grin. "She's not from around here, Cara. Please just be understanding for now." Cara, struck dumb for the moment, peeled her gaze from the lights to see the earnest look etched into his face. She studied him for several quiet moments before sighing and returning his gesture with a small smile. The silver light emitting from her hand dissipated as she allowed it to grow slack, his hand then removing itself from her.

"Alright. I'm just a bit on edge, ya know?" She questioned, letting out a soft sigh before looking between them a tad deviously. "Just keep your girlfriend out of trouble. That was... strange." Cara promptly turned on her heel before he could retort, returning to cooking with a quiet hum.

Kiernan's face flushed, but he had no room to speak as his sister turned her back to him so quickly. Instead, as the light died down, his gaze was drawn back to Numira. Catching her vacant expression, her glowing eyes, his widened a tad. "Mira, are you alright?" He questioned, one of his hands hovering over her, but not daring to touch her as per the warning he'd received.
