Oh, I can see the friendship or partnership or rivalry 'pairings', I just don't see them as romantically involved unless it's canonically revealed. So whenever someone asks or mentions to me, "Don't A and B look great together? They're totally awesome as a pair!" or "They are so in love with each other!" I'd be all "...Huh?" at them.
