Naru plopped down in that chair, cradling his wrist against his chest once again. It ached and throbbed, but it was healing. A simple broken bone, but he almost relished the pain, even squeezed it once with his left hand as Sorrel moved about gathering sticks and bandages. "I'm fine." He spoke the words quietly, letting her tend to him. There had to be a way to make the two personalities one, without one of them over powering the other. A merge. An acceptance of everything.
"No, I deserve it. I deserve your hatred and whatever you want to put me through. I took everything from you. I want you to punish me, to make me suffer." He reached out, with his left hand, resting the palm against her cheek and gently stroking his thumb against her flesh. "You shouldn't be nice to me at all." He lowered his hand and leaned back against the chair. "I'm a monster, so hate me, hurt me, punish me."
